Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team premiered on Cartoon Network on October 1, 2001, after running in Japan as Kidô Senshi Gundam: Dai 08 MS Shôtai beginning in 1986. This is the story of the soldiers in the trenches, the grunts who fight Zeon soldiers one-on-one. This is the story of the 08th MS Team. Led by the brave but inexperienced Shiro Amada, this collection of Federation soldiers has been chosen to test a new line of mobile suits, suits that may help to turn the tide of the One Year War. Having conquered most of Earth, Zeon is positioned to crush the Federation. But not if the 08th MS Team has anything to say about it.
